The fields
Nine calibration fields, four inspection fields.
The distinction is not cosmetic. Calibration produces a certificate with uncertainty and a grade; inspection produces a report with a pass or a fail — and the system will not let one masquerade as the other.

Each type carries its own defaults.
A default calibration interval, a pinned calculation template and a saved check plan — so the second job of that type is faster than the first.

Inspection, done properly — and never sold as calibration.
In-service testing is inspection against criteria: pass or fail, no uncertainty, no grade. Calibration of the appliance tester itself is metrology and lives in the 17025 world. The system keeps the two apart, in the data and on the document.
CalibraWorks is built to ISO/IEC 17025. Inspection work is handled correctly, with the correct document type — but the software is not sold as “ISO/IEC 17020 compliant”, and an accreditation mark is refused on an inspection report.
